Imagine How Great It is to See Imagine Dragons!

Imagine Dragon is one of those bands that seem to come from out of nowhere and reach superstardom overnight. Of course, as with most bands, they did put in their dues and were performing and writing music for a number of years before their debut release in September of 2012. The album, Night Visions, was a phenomenal success for them, and that was why they seemed to have launched into the public consciousness so quickly. The album went to number two on the Billboard 200, and that helped them to get to launch a world tour and get onto a number of different television shows, such as Conan, The Late Show with David Letterman, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Perhaps the most popular hit from their debut was the song “Radioactive”.

The band started in 2008, and they’ve gone through a few lineup changes in that time. The current members are Dan Reynolds, the vocalist, Wayne Sermon on guitar, Ben McKee on bass, and Daniel Platzman on drums. Former members include Andrew Tolman on drums and his wife Brittany Tolman on keyboard. Some of the band’s influences include Muse, Arcade Fire, and, of course, The Beatles. You can hear these influences in their sound. In addition to their studio album, you can hear some other songs on their EPs, which came out between 2009 and 2013. Some of these include the self-titled Imagine Dragons, as well as Hell and Silence, It’s Time, and Continued Silence.

The success they found in the United States followed with similar successes all around the world, which helped to make their tour such a success. Naturally, this means that everyone is going to be wanting, and expecting, a new album sometime soon. The band is finishing up a tour right now — and will be touring through March of 2014. After that, you can expect they will go into the studio to start recording. If you hope to see the band soon, you really do want to get out there right now and get your tickets! The band sounds great live, and you don’t want to miss them.
