Teams Are Starting To Make Their Moves As The NBA Season Winds Down

The NBA season is starting to wind down, but there are still a lot of great games left on the schedule. The weekend of March 12th is looking particularly entertaining, as there are several high profile matchups on the schedule. This will be a great weekend for every basketball fan as the college conference tournaments are in full swing the playoff fever starts to show in the NBA.

Friday night looks like a night to spend in front of the tube as the Lakers and Suns are going to be going at it in Phoenix at 9:00pm ET. The Lakers are coming off a gut wrenching defeat on Sunday and will be looking to take out their anger on someone. You always have to pity the teams on the schedule of the Lakers right after a loss.

They will have plenty of rest, as they will not have played since Tuesday night against Toronto. That will actually be a great spot for Toronto to catch them napping as they look ahead to this game. The Lakers have lost 3 games going into the matchup with Toronto and if they lose that one, they will be looking for blood against the Suns.

Sunday also has a marquee matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers hosting the Boston Celtics. Cleveland has a 27-4 home record and is usually about as solid as it gets on their own court, but don’t ever count out Boston the road as they have more wins on the road (22) than some teams have had all season. This is surely going to be a very tight game from the opening jump ball and is the perfect way to finish off a long weekend. There are a few other notable games on the scheduled, but they hardly have the entertainment value of these two matchups.
